Background
Britvic Drinks is an established and recognisable brand in Asia but has limited brand awareness in China. Sinowei is working with Britvic to establish the market opportunity via our established network of distributors.
Process
Starting with the team in Belfast, Sinowei’s Chinese colleagues translated all the marketing material and documentation to share with our team in China. Samples were then shipped to our showroom in Shanghai. Our introductory segment on Sinowei Studios used Britvic both as a mixer for alcohol and refreshing soft drink – which was distributed across our Chinese social channels.
Market Feedback
Although predominantly marketed as mixers to accompany alcohol drinks, it was important to add a low-sugar option to satisfy the Chinese consumer. The classic brand style together with Royal endorsements, has strengthened Britvic’s position in China’s highly competitive market for soft drinks and mixers.
Sales
The team showcased the range at the CIIE show in November, and again at the Drinks show in Chengdu. We sent the first Britvic container to Shanghai in summer of 2022. With the on-trade reopening we’ve seen a surge in demand for Britvic mixers.
